I started scrapbooking with a kit that I received for Christmas one year when I was 13. My first scrapbook album is beautiful ;) Needless to say, I have expanded my knowledge and know more about scrapbooking and how to coordinate patterns and colors.
The biggest influence for scrapbooking came from my Mother-in-Law, Dee Anna; she alone had a medium sized scrapbook store in her house. Dee Anna taught me new techniques and new styles to incorporate into my scrapbooking ideas. We would spend days working on one layout because we wanted it to be perfect.
December 2011 she passed away and I inherited all her scrapbooking stuff, which has enabled me to work on selling my scrapbook creations. I wish there was more time for her to teach me everything she knew and we could work side by side, but I am surrounded by her love.
May she rest in peace.
